We only break this set out 3 or 4 times a year, but our family and friends love it! All you really need is some Sterno and some skewers, but the lazy-susan and the accessory cups make for a fun display.
This isn't much of a functional kitchen tool, but it's been much loved by our family.

I received mine as a first place prize in a Hershey's contest so I had no money at stake! After reading the reviews BEFORE actually using the S'mores Maker I was ready to put this thing up for sale on one of many online sites.... that is until I realized the beauty of something small and convenient. Hey folks.. wake up and get with the friendship thing! Yes it's nice have a giant bonfire so all 30 of you can make your S'mores at the same time, but the real beauty of this one is that you can still make your S'mores ANYWHERE, at ANYTIME and have the time to enjoy your friends! It's not about feeding the masses, it's about having a fun dessert with some friends! I have used this five times now and it does take some practice, but how many times have you watched your marshmellows turn into flaming meteorites and land in the camp fire?!? Patience. Spend time talking instead of trying to speed-eat! This is perfect if you enjoy the presence of your friends and want a fun treat! Slow down and enjoy the totally decadent (nutritionally devoid) little morsels of sweetness, but most importantly enjoy them with your friends! Talking is still allowed!

Works as advertised, after some experience with the product. The key to using this properly is finding the correct "toasting height" above your heat. Like a real fire, too close and your mallow will be burning. Too far away and you will be there forever. As another reviewer noted, the toasting area is small, so you will get at most 2 people toasting at the same time. Still, this is a fun product for indoor smores creation.

Although i did not buy this exact product, i bought one very similar, the one i got just came with a fondue insert. But on to the review.
After reading other reviews, i can see that people think this is a waste of space, and if you want to make smores, stand near the stove. Well, i hate to break it to you, but that is not the fun party activity you would expect it to be. Everyone standing around a stove is more of a fire hazard than this could be. This thing is a very good apliance if you have a small gathering. The side dishes on the lazy susan is a good idea, especially since i hate getting marshmellows out of the bag, and with the bag near the heat, they usually melt with the plastic. That is not a good snack.
Overall this is a good product, the one i got was from linens and things.

What a disappoinment! I bought this for my sister last Christmas, we tried it one night and never ever could get a marshmallow just right; it either wouldn't brown or caught on fire in an instant. I never returned it and could never find any satisfactory address to write to the company and voice my displeasure. I am getting ready to give it to charity and hope someone can figure it out.
